PostgreSQL commands#
Usage:
zyn pg [command]
Commands:
logs follow the PostgreSQL server log
start start the bundled PostgreSQL server
status show the bundled PostgreSQL server status
stop stop the bundled PostgreSQL server
Manage the bundled local PostgreSQL server. Use db for application data and schema.
Example:
zyn pg status
Documentation: zyn docs cli/pg
zyn pg startstarts the project's bundled PostgreSQL server.zyn pg statusreports whether it is running and on which port.zyn pg logsfollows the PostgreSQL log.zyn pg stopstops the project server.
The configured port defaults to 7542. If that loopback port is occupied, zyn selects the next available port and records it for project database commands.
On macOS and Linux, the managed project database disables TCP and uses a private Unix socket with peer authentication. Windows uses loopback SCRAM and a gitignored machine-local password. Legacy development password_credential settings do not change this managed endpoint. Unknown subcommands and extra arguments are rejected before starting PostgreSQL or synchronizing the framework. Subcommands accept --help outside a project.
